Born into a family distinguished by its commitment to education and intellectual enrichment, Keerthana was raised in an environment where the pursuit of knowledge and cultural values formed the cornerstone of everyday life. She is the daughter of Mr. K. Ram Mohan Babu and Mrs. R. Komala, eminent educationists and founders of Little Angel's School, Bengaluru. Her initiation into Bharatanatyam began at the tender age of four, marking the commencement of a lifelong journey devoted to one of India's most revered classical art forms. Her foundational training was under the esteemed Late Guru Vidushi Smt. Padmini Rao of Ponnaiah Lalitha Kala Nikethana, Bengaluru, whose rigorous pedagogy and artistic insight laid the groundwork for her future accomplishments. Following the passing of her revered guru, she continued her advanced training under Guru Vidushi Smt. Darshini Manjunath, further refining her technique, artistry, and understanding of the classical repertoire. She is presently under the guidance of Guru Vidushi Smt. Rekha Jagadish, continuing her pursuit of artistic excellence through advanced study and practice.
Complementing her training as a dancer, Keerthana has also received extensive instruction in Nattuvangam under the guidance of the internationally acclaimed Mridangam maestro and Nattuvanar, Dr. K. S. Bhavani Shankar. This dual grounding in both performance and rhythmic accompaniment has enriched her artistic perspective and contributed significantly to her holistic understanding of the Bharatanatyam tradition.

As a performer, her artistry is distinguished by an unwavering commitment to the classical grammar of Bharatanatyam while simultaneously embracing the emotive and transformative potential of the art form. Her interpretations are marked by authenticity, intellectual depth, and an ability to communicate timeless narratives with grace, conviction, and emotional resonance.
